Psalm 91:5-10 (NIRV)
5 You won't have to be afraid of the terrors that come during the night. You won't have to fear the arrows that come at you during the day. 6 You won't have to be afraid of the sickness that attacks in the darkness. You won't have to fear the plague that destroys at noon. 7 A thousand may fall dead at your side. Ten thousand may fall near your right hand. But no harm will come to you. 8 You will see with your own eyes how God punishes sinful people. 9 The Lord is the one who keeps you safe. So let the Most High God be like a home to you. 10 Then no harm will come to you. No terrible plague will come near your tent. Psalm 34:8-10 (NCV)
8 Examine and see how good the Lord is. Happy is the person who trusts him. 9 You who belong to the Lord, fear him! Those who fear him will have everything they need. 10 Even lions may get weak and hungry, but those who look to the Lord will have every good thing. Psalm 34:15-18 (NCV)
15 The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. 16 But the Lord is against those who do evil; he makes the world forget them. 17 The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles. 18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed. Psalm 103:8-11 (NIRV)
8 The Lord is tender and kind. He is gracious. He is slow to get angry. He is full of love. 9 He won't keep bringing charges against us. He won't stay angry with us forever. 10 He doesn't punish us for our sins as much as we should be punished. He doesn't pay us back in keeping with the evil things we've done. 11 His love for those who have respect for him is as high as the heavens are above the earth. Psalm 33:18-20 (NCV)
18 But the Lord looks after those who fear him, those who put their hope in his love. 19 He saves them from death and spares their lives in times of hunger. 20 So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us. Psalm 37:37-40 (New Living Translation)
37 Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. 38 But the rebellious will be destroyed; they have no future. 39 The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. 40 The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him. Psalm 146:6-8 (NIRV)
6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth and the ocean. He made everything in them. The Lord remains faithful forever. 7 He stands up for those who are beaten down. He gives food to hungry people. The Lord sets prisoners free. 8 The Lord gives sight to those who are blind. The Lord lifts up those who feel helpless. The Lord loves those who do what is right. Psalm 33:13-15 (NCV)
13 The Lord looks down from heaven and sees every person. 14 From his throne he watches all who live on earth. 15 He made their hearts and understands everything they do. Psalm 121 (New International Reader's Version)
1 I look up to the hills. Where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord. He is the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He won't let your foot slip. He who watches over you won't get tired. 4 In fact, he who watches over Israel won't get tired or go to sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you. The Lord is like a shade tree at your right hand. 6 The sun won't harm you during the day. The moon won't harm you during the night. 7 The Lord will keep you from every kind of harm. He will watch over your life. 8 The Lord will watch over your life no matter where you go, both now and forever. Psalm 91:11-16 (NIRV)
11 The Lord will command his angels to take good care of you. 12 They will lift you up in their hands. Then you won't trip over a stone. 13 You will walk all over lions and cobras. You will crush mighty lions and poisonous snakes. 14 The Lord says, "I will save the one who loves me. I will keep him safe, because he trusts in me. 15 He will call out to me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in times of trouble. I will save him and honor him. 16 I will give him a long and full life. I will save him." |
